In the problem of amalgam fillings, Saliva is working as the conducting medium, so it's equivalent to the solutions and salt bridge in a galvanic cell
As for the question about the galvanic cell, this is true. The galvanic cell stops when the anode strip depletes or when ions of the cathode deplete.

ReplyDeletemiss i wanna ask you...in the problems of cracking and when we are asked to find the number of carbons and hydrogens in them (for ex: CxHy -> C6H14 + C3Hy ...how can we find this ? given that CxHy is an alkane and C3Hy is an alkene ) after all..i know how to find X & Y but i want the right method to write the answer .can u give it to me plz ...mwa i love u :)
y is the same number...If C3Hy is an alkene, this means it follows the formula CnH2n, then it has 6 hydrogens, then y=6
ReplyDeletenow,if CxHy is an alkane and it has 6 hydrogens (since y=6), then it must obey the general formula CnH2n+2, since 2n+2=6 it means that n=2
so x=n=2
so the alkane is C2H6 and the alkene is C3H6
